St Virgil’s College is one of Tasmania’s oldest and most respected boys’ colleges.

Founded in 1911 by the Christian Brothers, St Virgil’s caters for boys from Grade 3 to 10. We offer a quality education for more than 700 boys aged from 8 to 16. The charism of Blessed Edmund Rice is the basis of our heritage.

We understand boys and help shape their journey to become a man and well rounded individuals through academic, the arts and sporting pursuits.

At St Virgil’s College our motto “by deeds, not words” challenges all members of the College community never to settle for mere words when there is good we can do.

We encourage you to explore what we can offer your son.
