The following Teachers will work with the Head of Department, Core Studies Leader and other teachers to develop engaging curriculum in line with the requirements of the Australian curriculum and to follow the College’s assessment and reporting guidelines.

Non-Teaching Positions

Boathouse Maintenance Officer 

The Boathouse Maintenance Officer is responsible for the care and management of the College’s Rowing Shed as part of the New Town Bay Rowing Centre Complex and all College equipment within it. 

This role will ensure:

  • all rowing boats and equipment are well maintained and able to be used daily throughout the rowing reason, which runs from mid-July – 30 April the following year.
  • all equipment: rowing boats, motorboats, trailers, and other equipment is in working order for the start of the rowing season. 
  • that specialised repairs are outsourced and completed prior to the commencement of the next season. 

This role will assist the Director of Rowing in all logistical arrangements for regattas and competitions that utilise rowing equipment and in partnership with the Director of Rowing, establish and enforce standards of behaviour for students and coaches whilst in the boat shed, particularly in relation to workplace, health, and safety issues.

The position will need to exhibit a personal commitment to the mission and vision of St Virgil's College and work within the confines of Commonwealth Privacy legislation.
