Our recruitment process requires applicants to meet specific criteria and provide evidence where requested.

Applicants for teaching positions must be registered with the Tasmanian Teachers Registration Board (or have the ability to obtain) and hold a current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) to be considered for employment.
Applicants for non-teaching positions must provide evidence of a current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) or the ability to obtain. Completion of a National Police Criminal History Check will be required prior to employment.

St Virgil’s College is a Kindergarten to Year 12 school for boys, founded in 1911 and conducted by Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA).

Stacey King (Prep Classroom Teacher)

Prep sees students reaching learning milestones at a rapid rate and Classroom Teacher Miss Stacey King is there to engage them at every step of the way.

"I have been welcomed into an incredible College community and am especially thankful for the supportive network of staff.

The wonderful opportunities and experiences we provide the boys at St Virgil's ensures everyone’s unique interests and learning journey is considered. I love the sense of curiosity and wonder that they have at this age, and the way students develop and learn."

As a part of the Wellbeing Team, Mr Thymon Venter works with a collaborative team to be a voice for students and staff alike.

"I have always wanted to make a positive impact on lives of others, to understand their own experiences and to walk alongside them. I support students by providing them with someone to listen, to support their struggles and to celebrate their successes.

This passion comes from my mother who is also a teacher and a women’s advocate."
