Rowing

St Virgil’s College has a rich and proud tradition of Rowing and has shaped the careers of athletes such as Dr Scott Brennan who won gold at the Sydney Olympic Games.

Our rowing program is open to students form Year 6 (introductory program) to Year 12. The College has a dedicated rowing facility at New Town Bay Rowing Centre, equipped with rowing boats and gymnasium. St Virgil’s rowers have the opportunity to represent their College at both State and National Regattas.

Students from both St Virgil’s College and St Mary's College share the use of equipment and training venue, and attend training and Regattas together. Rowing fundraising events are used to purchase shared equipment for both Colleges to use.

Connect with us on the St Virgil's/St Mary's Rowing Facebook page here.
