Facilities - Junior School

We teach boys who will become men, preparing them for a future they will help form. St Virgil's College is Tasmania's only primary and secondary Catholic school exclusively for boys.

Boys at St Virgil's College can expect to be challenged to achieve personal excellence in an environment suited to the particular needs of boys. Boys will be encouraged to participate fully in an extra-curricular programme that presents students with boundless opportunities in sport, the arts and service.

The curriculum is designed to develop mind, body, spirit and confidence in ways that honour the uniqueness of each of student, whilst developing caring and responsible attitudes to all around them.

We are a learning community where students and staff work together to develop understanding and skills in life long learning.

Junior School

The Junior School caters for Kindergarten and Grade 3 to 6 boys in 2021, with subsequent year levels being added until 2024 when the College will have a full Kinder - Grade 6 pathway at the Junior campus in Patrick Street.

The College has a state of the art Early Learning Years Centre to complement its modern, purpose built classrooms as well as specialist art, learning enhancement and sport facilities.

Additional play space includes two artificial grass court areas, a bank above the futsal court and a tranquil area for passive play and relaxation.
